Just wanted to chuck my two cents in about the AERL LiFe2 5.1kWh LFP Battery I've been using for my off-grid setup.
The good oil:
- Lasts bloody ages - they reckon 6000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge
- Safe as houses - won't catch fire like some dodgy imports
- Compact little unit - doesn't hog all your shed space
- Light as a feather compared to the old lead-acid boat anchors we pulled out
The not-so-flash bits:
- Bit exy upfront, but you get what you pay for
- Gotta make sure your inverter plays nice with it
Setting it up was pretty straightforward, but if you're not handy with the sparkies, might be worth getting a pro in. The built-in handles are a godsend though - makes shifting them around a piece of piss.
